Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and Breakin’ Conventions present ‘Moving Rap’ Project

The whole of Year 7 and 8 had an assembly where Breakin’ Convention artists rapper and lyricist Kingpin dancers from BirdGang Dance Crew visited and performed for our students to inspire them.
As one of the shortlisted east London schools, we will create a piece of performance around the themes of Home and Belonging each devised and developed by the young people with the guidance from professional artists. Combining rap and dance, the project will be facilitated by two established artists in a 7 week workshop project. The journey will lead to a final showcase with all the schools sharing their performances in one venue.
