Super Spellers Go Bowling

As I'm sure all our parents and carers are aware, we take pride in our spelling skills at Chobham. In order to encourage everyone to try their hardest, we have introduced some rewards for classes and individuals with the top average spelling score. In LKS2, the class with the highest average spelling score is awarded the ‘Spelling Bear’ which was bought from the Bear Factory during a trip to London by our top LKS2 spellers. This term, our top spellers in both LKS2 and UKS2 were lucky enough to be rewarded with a trip to bowling to celebrate their successes. What I love about these trips is that learning spellings is something nearly anyone can do - we tell the children that just because they find literacy tricky, it doesn’t mean they can’t achieve a high score in their spelling tests. Good luck to everyone learning their weekly spellings!
