Lend Lease School Challenge Competition Final

On Friday 30th June four Y10 Chobham pupils Parag Pandya, Shannon Taylor, Rianna Thomas and Ronaldo Teekasingh competed against other local schools in the Lend Lease Schools Challenge Finale. Having designed their own urban regeneration project for The International Quarter  focused on the sustainable theme of'society and engagement' they visited the Financial Conduct Authority headquarters at Canary Wharf to present their idea to specialists within the field of urban development, community engagement and education.

 

Whilst the group did not win the Challenge they not only built upon their core geographical knowledge of urban landscapes and design but enhanced their career based skills by creating and delivering their presentation. They were commended by the panel on their ideas for bringing together and catering for the diverse communities that will be utilising The International Quarter through their open air cinema project.
