Exam Success Stories
Ammarah – A*A*A*
Ammarah joined Harris Academy Chobham in year 7 and has continuously excelled in her studies, achieving A*A*A* in economics, sociology and geography, earning her a place at Kings College London to study International Development.
Summer – A*A*A*
Summer joined Harris Academy Chobham in year 12 and has continuously excelled in her studies, achieving A*A*A* in psychology, history and government and politics, earning her a place at The University of Nottingham to study psychology and cognitive neuroscience.
Ibrahim – A*AA
Ibrahim joined Chobham Academy in Year 7 and has proven to be an exceptional STEM student throughout his KS3 – KS5 studies, achieving A*AA in economics, chemistry and maths. Ibrahim, who will be studying Computer Science at Kings College London, said ‘Harris Chobham Academy Sixth form has taught me how to work better independently and understand the potential I have within me. This sixth form is also very tight-knit because of the amazing teachers who genuinely want what’s best for you’
Alex – AAA
Alex joined the Academy in September 2019 having pursued the less than traditional path of taking a gap year between GCSE and A levels. During this time he gained experience of working in politics, shadowing a local MP in Westminster. This experience made him determined to pursue a career in politics and is now enrolling at the University of Manchester where he will be studying PPE, having achieved AAA in economics, history and politics. Regarding his A level studies, Alex said ‘Sixth form has provided me with the environment to push myself, whilst giving me the necessary support when needed to reach my potential’
Janaye – AAB
Janaye joined the Academy in September 2019 as part of the West Ham development squad and has managed a dual education/football pathway throughout her two years of A level study, achieving AAB in PE, psychology and sociology. Janaye will now be taking a break from further studies to continue with her commitments to West Ham United’s women’s first team and is planning to apply for school leaver accounting programmes in the next few years. West Ham have said ‘After consistently impressing in both the academy and first team environment, Janaye was gifted her senior professional debut in the Women’s FA Cup. An impressive performance, meant Janaye was selected in the matchday squad for the first team on numerous occasions. As well as this, Janaye has been impressing for England on youth international camps during her time of her studies.’
Lifeson - A*AA
Having achieved a great set of GCSE results, Lifeson joined the Academy from Brampton Academy in September 2019. Lifeson has enjoyed his studies, achieving A*AA in maths, physics and chemistry and now plans to continue with his passion for maths and physics at UCL.
Fabbiha – A*A*A
Fabbiha joined Harris Academy Chobham in year 7 and has continuously excelled in her studies, achieving A*A*A in English, psychology and sociology, earning her a place at The University of Warwick to study law.
Joshua – AAA
After celebrating his A level results of AAA in economics, Spanish and politics, Joshua is now preparing for his move up north to study Law at the University of Management. Joshua said ‘Chobham has helped me in ways I can’t even express. From the teaching to the extra curricular activities, they really ensure that every student is motivated and strives to work to the best of their ability.’
Roni – A*AA
Roni has been a student at Harris Academy Chobham since joining in year 7. Having achieved A*AB in sociology, maths and politics, Roni is now going to the University of York to study Maths and is planning to pursue a career in teaching on completion of her degree.
Nosheen – AAA
Nosheen has been a student at the Academy since Year 7 and was appointed Head Girl in September 2019. Having achieved AAA in her A level studies, Nosheen is now set to study International Relations at Kings College London. She said 'Chobham helped mould the person I am today through great experiences and challenges and I'm forever grateful for their contribution towards that.'
Ayaan – A*AA
Ayaan has been a student at the Academy since Year 7 and has had a passion for economics since studying it at GCSE. Having achieved A*AA in economics, geography and psychology Ayaan is now off to Loughborough University to study Economics.
Sruti – A*AA
Sruti joined Harris Academy Chobham in year 7 and has continuously excelled in her studies, achieving A*AA in psychology, English and sociology, earning her a place at The University of Warwick to study law. Sruti said: “My teachers at Chobham have given me the support I needed to push me to do my best; they have genuinely wanted me to succeed. The inclusive environment has enabled me to grow as a person and I have gained the confidence to thrive at university.”
Sergio – Dist*Dist* A*
Sergio has been with us at Chobham Academy since Year 7. We are particularly proud of his development as he has demonstrated great determination and ambition to arrive at this point. Sergio’s transformation is an excellent example for some of our less engaged students to emulate. He should be proud of the disciplined, hardworking and successful young man he has become.
Wiktoria - Dist*Dist*Dist*
Wiktoria has balanced a dual pathway throughout her two years at Harris Academy Chobham, having joined as part of the West Ham development squad. Wiki signed for the first team when in year 12 and has spent the majority of her year 13 studies accessing her work remotely due to being on loan to Ålask WrocÅaw in Poland. Wiki has impressed all her teachers with her ability to manage her workload, achieving D*D*D* in her CTEC Sport and Physical Activity course. Wiki said ‘I am really grateful for the staff at Chobham Academy as they helped me balance my studies with my football commitments. When I needed to attend first team training during the school day, teachers would always send me work to catch up on or even letting me go abroad and carrying my studies online with teachers supporting me through online classes.’ West Ham have also praised Wiki’s attitude ‘Wiktoria Kiszkis has been a regular full-time senior player of the women’s first team. After joining the club in 2-years ago, Wiki has impressed first team staff and cemented her place at being a full time pro. Wiki made her debut against Manchester City in 2020, and has made many matchday squads and appearances since. Balancing this with International camps shows the maturity and potential of this young athlete.’
